Operations with custom records

Function of custom records

Custom records allow you to store any kind of information in your collection. For example, you may catalog your books or journals, VHS videos and comics, postage stamps and coins, etc. You even may catalog your CDs, for example games, if you don't need to know which files are located on a CD. Custom record can be lent and, this way, it will be marked with a hand icon (see screenshot).

Adding a custom record to the catalog

Select the Edit | Add custom record menu item to add a custom record to the catalog.

Remove the custom record from the catalog

To remove a custom record, select the custom record you want to remove. Then select the Edit | Remove from the catalog menu item.

Move the custom record to another location in the catalog

To move a custom record to another location select the custom record or a group of custom records you want to move, drag it to a wishful location till a cursor becomes an arrow. Note: you can move a custom record or a group of custom records only into Virtual folder or into 'My Collection' folder. The advanced option allows you to drop a custom record on a keyword and the keyword will be assigned with the custom record.
