Hello! We’re glad to inform you, that a new version of our disk catalog software WinCatalog 2015 has been released. The version number is 15.4. This is a maintenance update, that contains fixes, improvements, and one experimental feature.
The most important changes are:
If the “Scan only folders (do not add files to the catalog)” option is selected, the new version of WinCatalog correctly calculates a size of added folders (previously, the size of empty folders was always zero).
Now you can change a type of any disk in a catalog and WinCatalog will keep the changed type after disk updates.
If you partially update a disk or a folder, WinCatalog will correctly handle paths for the other not updated items.
Minor GUI fixes.
The experimental feature: SuperMode. Previously you could move any item (file, disk or folder) from real (yellow) folders to virtual (blue) folders. Now with SuperMode you can move any item (even non-file one) to any folder. This feature can be helpful, if you want to move previously moved files and folders back to their original location.
The feature can be enabled only via the command line parameter “-smode” with three options: “on” - to enable the feature, “off” - to disable it, and “tmp” - to temporarily enable it for one program session:

To download WinCatalog 2015 version 15.4, please click here. You do not need to uninstall a previous version of WinCatalog. Just install the latest version over the existing one. The upgrade is free for everyone, who owns a license for WinCatalog 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.
