WinCatalog 2026.3.1 is a maintenance release. AI Bridge now works with Bionic, the new app from LM Studio, and we went back over the translations that came with 2026.3.
AI Bridge works with Bionic
LM Studio has a new app called Bionic. AI Bridge now finds it and uses it the same way it uses LM Studio (Classic), including on machines where Bionic is the only one installed.
Nothing changes in the settings. Bionic runs on the same engine as LM Studio, with the same downloaded models and the same local server on port 1234, so there was no reason to make it a separate provider. The entry in AI Bridge settings is now called LM Studio / Bionic and covers both.
Two smaller fixes came with it. AI Bridge now checks per-user installations, not only machine-wide ones. If it ever told you LM Studio was not installed when it clearly was, that was why. Status messages also name the app they found, so you see “Bionic is installed and running” rather than something generic. And if you installed Bionic but never opened it, AI Bridge asks you to run it once first: Bionic only unpacks its command line tools on the first start.
Translation fixes
Version 2026.3 brought a lot of new text into the interface: the GPS search rows on the Exif tab, the location picker, the Path filter, and the duplicate selection toolbar with its right-click commands. All of it was translated in time for the release, but not all of it was translated well. We went back over it.
