Can I edit AI descriptions after they are generated?
AI descriptions are stored in the catalog database. Currently, they can be regenerated by adding items back to the queue, but manual editing is not available through AI Bridge.
Can I process video files?
Yes — AI Bridge can process any file that has a thumbnail stored in WinCatalog, including video files. The AI model analyzes the thumbnail image (a single frame), not the entire video.
Does AI Bridge send my images to the internet?
No. All processing happens locally on your computer using the AI model running in LM Studio or Ollama. No images or data leave your machine.
How much disk space do AI descriptions use?
Very little. AI descriptions are plain text stored in the catalog database. Even for a catalog with tens of thousands of images, descriptions add only a few megabytes to the database size.
Can I use a remote AI server?
Yes. In AI Bridge Settings → Advanced Settings, change the IP Address from localhost to the IP address of the machine running the AI provider. Make sure the port is accessible over the network.
